Trendyol was established in 2010. In ten years, the organisation became the largest e-commerce platform in Turkey and nowadays they are one of the leading global e-commerce platforms. Currently the organisation is expanding across Europe and that is the reason why we are looking for a Lead Legal Counsel Contracting & E-commerce in The Netherlands.
Trendyol does not have an establishment in The Netherlands yet, but they are planning to open an office in Amsterdam soon. As Lead Legal Counsel Contracting & E-commerce with Trendyol, you will be the first Legal Counsel in The Netherlands. Within this role, you will be responsible for setting up all legal matters and activities in The Netherlands (and probably in some other countries in Europe). In your daily work, you will mainly focus on reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts (such as e-commerce agreements with both consumers and sellers or contracts with payment service providers). Besides, you will be advising on all GDPR-related questions and/or matters. Furthermore, you will be responsible for the day to day legal business.
As Lead Legal Counsel Contracting & E-commerce, you will be an important sparring partner for the business (e.g. sales department, management team and directors). You will also be responsible for coordinating external counsel. You will directly report to the Head of Legal in Turkey.
Wat we vragen:
You are an experienced, flexible lawyer with good business sense. You are highly motivated, have got a hands-on mentality and a professional attitude. You are used to working in an international organization. Besides, you are able to function independently and in (multifunctional) teams and:
- You have got a Master degree in Dutch Law;
- You are a qualified lawyer with a minimum of 6 years of relevant working experience gained at a reputable international law firm, preferably combined with in house legal department experience in an international e-commerce business;
- Legal generalist with solid knowledge of commercial-, contract- and e-commerce law;
- You have got excellent drafting skills;
- You have got excellent negotiation skills
- Privacy (GDPR) experience is a plus;
