Senior Quality Engineer

As a senior quality engineer at Sonoco you are responsible for the improvement and optimalisation of quality of the product and processes. The ultimate goal is striving for the best possible product by reduce risks and complaints, solve problems that affect the eminence and controlling and analyzing to improve the entire procedure and support change at the site in Neuried and be the representative to the customer.
This is what the position looks like:
In this position you will be executing, improving, and developing processes to reduce risk for internal and external customers. You will lead cross-functional problem-solving teams to drive process and product improvements. And you will be a support in manufacturing and control of product and material quality to ensure that the products meet the requirements of the customers. Therefore, you are familiar with Six Sigma, 5Why, SPC, MSA and/or FMEA. Also, you will be responsible for the implementation and execution, as well as the ongoing use of the elements of the QMS (quality management system).
To perform your duties optimally, you will ensure continuous monitoring and control that the systems of the business units comply with the company standards. By default, you keep scoreboards and reports for all aspects of company quality (ISO requirements). Eventually you also advise on the implementation of the new systems in the company (Agile, Oracle EBS, CRM).
What to bring?
A master?s or bachelor?s degree in engineering quality, industrial, logistics, mechanical engineering, or direct experience as a quality engineer.
Three to five-year equivalent experience.
A technical understanding and a passion for the quality of a product.
Knowledge of Six Sigma, SPC and quality management systems (ISO 9001:2015 & VDA).
Project management skills and the ability to understand complex situations.
Fluent German and English language skills, the French language is an advantage.
