The Legal Department and the Senior Legal Counsel position
The Legal Department consists of 2 Legal Counsel and a General Counsel & Company Secretary. One Legal Counsel is based in Toulouse, France and is mainly responsible for the legal support of the Pallets division (La Palette Rouge). The other Legal Counsel is (like the General Counsel & Company Secretary) based at the Head Office of Euro Pool Group in Rijswijk and is mainly responsible for the legal support of the Trays division (Euro Pool System).
The Legal Department?s objective is to continuously support the business with the realization of Euro Pool Group?s strategy, to truly add value in the execution of that role whilst at the same time ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Senior Legal Counsel, to be based in Rijswijk
As Senior Legal Counsel you will mainly support the Trays division (Euro Pool System) on a broad range of legal matters, including drafting, reviewing and negotiating various agreements and other documentation. You will furthermore be (co)responsible for the development and execution of trainings around legal and compliance related subjects, the maintenance and extension of the Legal Department?s standard documentation, for Euro Pool Group?s data protection policies and procedures and its corporate housekeeping activities.
The lines within the legal team and Euro Pool Group?s business are short. You will therefore work closely together with the General Counsel & Company Secretary, the Legal Counsel in France and with members of the staff departments and the business of Euro Pool System across Europe. You will report to the General Counsel & Company Secretary.
Wat we vragen:
Your profile
You are an experienced, flexible and solution oriented lawyer with good business sense. You are highly motivated and have a hands-on mentality and professional attitude. Besides, you are able to function independently and in (multifunctional) teams:
- You have a Master degree in Dutch Law;
- You have a minimum of 12-15 years of working experience gained at a reputable international law firm, preferably combined with in house legal department experience in an international business;
- You are a legal generalist with solid knowledge of commercial-, corporate- and contract law;
- You have excellent drafting, negotiation and communication skills;
- You are able to successfully manage changes in priorities and deadlines;
- You are fluent in Dutch and English, command of German and/or French is an advantage;
- Knowledge of competition law and/or data protection laws is a plus.
