The CEO of Arcadis has committed Arcadis to becoming the digital frontrunner by 2021, and has prioritized digital as a key component of our strategy. Digital will significantly determine the competitiveness of Arcadis in the future. We will therefore increase our management focus and investments in this space. To that effect, a global team has been brought together to further define our digital agenda, and they are working together with the regional digital teams to drive implementation to proactively reinvent our business in the coming years.

The development of new skills within our business is core to ensuring our digital transformation is successful. We have several programs running to enhance our digital knowledge.

We are continuing to look at ways to enhance our digital skills development and improve the business outcomes of our transformation program. Expedition DNA is a core offering in ensuring the success of our digital strategy, and we are therefore looking to continuously improve the program and content.

As the Communications Intern - Digital, you will be responsible for:

• Assisting to build an integrated communications plan that supports our digital transformation agenda, particularly in relation to our cornerstone transformation platform ? Basecamp;
• Work directly with members of our digital community, at both the global and regional levels, to develop content for Basecamp, Expeditions and other communication channels;
• Review content to ensure consistent, clear, messaging that supports the global digital strategy, as well as ensures engagement of participants and others in the subject matter;
• Assist with the logistics and organization of Expeditions including coordinating with external facilitators, ensuring content is properly packaged, communicating with participants etc.
• Assist with the review of content to ensure that we are able to continuously improve the learning offerings the support our digital transformation.

Functie-eisenNobody is perfect, and that is fantastic. We expect you to fail, learn and succeed in this role. That said, it would be great if you have/are:

• Working towards a Master?s degree or end phase of Bachelor or HBO degree in communications, journalism, business administration or similar relevant discipline;
• An understanding of communications planning, including tailoring content for multiple audiences and the use of different channels to powerfully convey and amplify key messages;
• An understanding of how digital transformation is changing businesses;
• A self-starter with a can-do attitude for getting things done;
• High levels of personal organization with the capability to prioritize work and meet deadlines;
• Demonstrable capability to logically problem-solve issues, and work collaboratively with others to find solutions to complex problems;
• An engaging and personable individual who is able to communicate effectively with a broad range of individuals (English language fluency is a requirement for this internship);
• A personal commitment to producing work that you, and others, are consistently proud of, and that you are willing to go the extra mile to deliver quality work.
• Experience with photoshop, graphic design programs and the capability to design creative presentations, make short videos and other creative outputs would be a definite advantage.
