Our Partner Services department is expanding really fast and so is the team. Partner Services focuses on empowering restaurants to grow their online food-delivery business. Part of that contains providing them with (branded) merchandise and disposables. Also Partner Services makes sure that Scoober (our own delivery service) turning the streets orange in 70 European cities and Israel.We are looking for a candidate with a strong logistical background to lead and develop a well performing team in order to support Takeaway.com?s merchandising strategy. Your focus is also on tactical support, execution and timely availability of required materials within boundary conditions.In this key position you will report directly into the Director Partner Services.
Your job
- Developing purchasing strategies in line with demand and market conditions to ensure reliable and competitive transport services;
- Ensure that all (new) processes and procedures are organized in a standardised, automated and transparent way;
- Developing new logistic concepts and process improvements;
- Define, develop, implement and monitor KPIs;
- Analyse and report market information to stakeholders, like Procurement;
- Developing suppliers with the aim of ensuring high service quality and punctual delivery;
- Sourcing of (and visiting) new suppliers worldwide;
- People management responsibilities: reviews/appraisals, training, recruitment of new staff; lead by example, demonstrate exceptional coaching and leadership skills to develop team members to meet targets and improve their (management) skills;
Your profile
- Bachelor Degree (e.g. Business, Logistics, Economics, Supply Chain Management or same level through experience
- Several years of professional experience in the fields of logistics, procurement, and/or logistics management
- Knowledge of e-procurement tools
- Analytical and conceptual thinking and working methods
- Excellent understanding of the industry;
- Fluent in English;
- Experience in managing a team in a rapidly changing environment;
- Pro-active, sense of responsibility and ability to work independently;
- Excellent communication and business skills;
- Business focused;
- Positive attitude;
- Valid Driver's license;
- Availability to travel
