Job DescriptionEditor for Shell?s digital channelsWe are looking for a talented digital editor to join the global editorial team at Shell. You will need to be a strong writer and editor, with at least six years? experience in digital and broadcast journalism, with a proven track record in producing creative and compelling digital content. Ideally, you will also have some experience of working in a multicultural corporate environment, or creative agency. This is a chance to join one of the best corporate editorial teams in the world, with a dynamic approach to digital content across channels including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram and our global website Shell.com. The role can be based in London, UK or Krakow, Poland.Your responsibilities will include:

• Generating, writing and editing digital content for our award-winning Inside Energy story channel and for publication on social media channels. This includes written stories, films, blogs and infographics;
• Using data-driven insights to improve the performance of Shell?s content across a range of digital channels;
• Creating and maintaining content on Shell.com;
• Helping shape Shell?s strategy for digital content in a fast-moving digital landscape;
• Working with all parts of Shell?s business to develop compelling content for Shell?s digital channels.

RequirementsYou will need to be able to:

• Be a strong team player able to work across cultures, diverse backgrounds and virtual teams;
• Work with other writers to develop and co-ordinate the production of stories;
• Handle tight deadlines and work at speed without sacrificing quality.
• You will demonstrate:
• Strong and proven skills in writing and editing (in native-level English), and in producing content for digital and social media;
• A determination to develop as a writer and editor to produce high-quality digital content for social media channels;
• An understanding of the changing nature of digital platforms and the different ways audiences engage on each one;
• The ability to get things done to tight deadlines ? but with the experience to remain calm under pressure;
• A creative and proactive approach to identifying and developing potentially good stories that appeal to a wide global audience.
